Signature Art Fishing Lures by Matt "CHOVY" Hayward

The tenth Artist Signature Set is from artist Matt Hayward aka "Chovy". He is a full time independent artist based out of San Diego, California. Working on a variety of surfaces from walls, canvas, wood and most recently digital. Inspired by graffiti and large murals in his younger years he was lucky enough to get a chance to reignite his desire to create art later in life. His specialty is ocean creatures and trophy fish from the shallows to the deep but has recently expanded his reach to the freshwater species.

These casting spoons are for all types of fishing from lakes and rivers to bays and beaches. The set features 2 lures each with different custom Big Heavy and Mad Sheep artwork.

This set features 2 beautifully printed and pearlized casting spoons weighing in at 1 oz and 3” in Length. Set inside gold foil Stamped packaging with artist bio Insert, Protective Microfiber Pouch, and sticker.

The Big Heavy - Also known as the Pacific Bluefin, has found a home along our coastline for the past several years and has become one of the most dominant predators in our backyard. Its body is streamlined for endurance and speed, making for a tough battle for even the most confident fisherman. Big Heavy is dedicated to that large bluefin taking line, breaking gear, avoiding gaffs and handing out pain. It is also dedicated to the Southern California Fishermen who pursue these giant fish in hopes of an engaging battle and epic victory.

The Mad Sheep - is a large male California Sheephead that lurks on the rocky bottom of our Pacific Waters. He dominates his environment by using his intense grill to pry hard shelled animals from rocks, powerful jaws to crush and modified throat bone to grind prey. Since the species is on the decline it has become a true feat to catch one of these large males. The lure is dedicated to this unique species and those rare large mad sheep that graze the waters of Baja and California.
